Every brand has a beginning, a pivotal moment and a magnetic force that resides in its story, and for CAMILLA this is India.
In the early days of the brand, Camilla Franks would travel to India in the hopes of finding local artisans to help realise her creative vision.
Somewhere along the way, she met a husband and wife team who were as passionate about creating as she was.
Together with our Indian family, we dance to the same creative rhythm and sing the same artistic song. They are more than just business partners, they are family, a part of CAMILLA forever.

Our full-hearted vision aims to empower and improve the lives of others. We believe that every female is entitled to education, protection and empowerment to be their free self. Empowerment really does start with education, which is why in 2018 we partnered with The Hunger Project to educate women, on what their rights are.
THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT
We created a program call The Butterfly Effect, and are working with 1000 girls living in Bihar, North India. Our dream and hope for the Butterfly Effect, was what the name implies. It created a domino effect, that what these girls learn, they hand down to their peers and their daughters, and their daughters take these learning and pass them on to their daughters, and so on and so on. They become powerful agents for change for future generations.
And now our baby The Butterfly Effect has wrapped up its wings. With this project we have helped:

THE ELECTED WOMEN'S REPRESENTATIVE PROGRAM
We are now directing our hearts, time and funds to The Hunger Project's Elected Women's Representative Program in Rajasthan. It is Village Councils in Rajasthan that decide who in their community is eligible for support to end their own hunger and poverty, through programs such as education, job creation, food aid and sanitation.
Women are assigned fifty percent of seats on Council. We want to ensure these women are trained and empowered to become warriors of justice, love and peace. This program coaches the women who sit on these Councils about their rights, builds up their confidence, and gives them all the knowledge they need to speak up and fight to end hunger, poverty and corruption.
